Business Systems Analyst - St. Charles, MO

The Business Systems Analyst – IFS Distribution is responsible for coordinating the planning, implementation and ongoing management of the IFS ERP and related components and interfaces with an emphasis in the areas of Sales and Distribution type modules. They have primary accountability to deliver and maintain enterprise software solutions in support of EBI operations and strategy with a focus on enabling business processes and solving informational problems.

Job functions include -

  • Provide first and second level support of the IFS ERP with an emphasis on the Sales and Distribution modules and can assist with other generalist areas of the ERP. Includes performance metric tracking, end user setup, relevant client side issues and provides assistance with solving “unusual” information problems.
  • Serves as a primary contact for implementation and ongoing management and maintenance of the IFS ERP; prepares user communications and documentation; and advises principal users of system capabilities and limitations.
  • Interact with various IT support functions including external VARs to trouble shoot and resolve complex problems related to enterprise applications.
  • Manage sourcing, design, deployment, testing and customization of the IFS ERP and related components. This includes related change management where new releases, service packs, critical fixes and other change areas are concerned.
  • Elicit solution requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.
  • Create reports and assist with design of business intelligence based on vetted requirements. Includes sourcing database observations from numerous tables. Query using SQL query logic and map out the dependencies and connections among source tables and views.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Positive, proactive, ownership attitude. The ability to self-teach and work with vendors/developers and users is essential.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with a disciplined approach to implementation, support and documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and with cross functional teams in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent client communication and liaison skills. Experience working with varying levels of users (production floor to President)
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Displays willingness to make decisions; exhibits sound and accurate judgment; includes appropriate people in decision-making process’ makes timely decisions.
  • Experience with using Lean Six Sigma problem solving methods and tools is desired.
  • Experience with ERP implementations is desired.

Experience and Education Requirements:
Three (3) to five (5) years related experience or training required. Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; Major(s): Bachelor’s degree in Business or Computer Science.

Additional Requirements:
Travel required: Up to 10%, domestic and international
Schedule requirements: Monday – Friday, flexible schedule allowed. Limited weekends may be required as needed to support special projects.
