While food enhancers like ours usually are measured in terms of content like protein, moisture and fat, our research team wanted to discover what other parameters could help ensure our palatants consistently enhance pet food performance. To find out, they used a two-bowl paired comparison of a commercial dry cat food and follow-up statistical analyses, revealing insights on:
• In-process parameters like temperature, times, pressure and pH
• Finished product parameters like amino acid content, bulk density and flowability
• Direct correlations to the final product palatability
